INDIANAPOLIS – In addition to the semi-truck overturning on the State Road 46W overpass going out of town, Columbus was also talking about the very loud “boom” that was heard at around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
In addition to the local area, the explosion-like noise was heard in several other south-central Indiana. So far, Indiana emergency agencies have not yet been able to figure out the origin.
Residents in Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Jennings, Brown, Decatur, and Monroe counties all heard the boom.
