TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has rescheduled its open house for an intersection improvement project on U.S. 31 in Taylorsville for Wednesday, April 13, at Taylorsville Elementary School.
The public can learn more about the $3.1 million INDOT project which includes the construction of two reduced conflict intersections (RCIs) on U.S. 31, one at Tannehill Road (C.R. 650N), and the other at Bear Lane/Frontage Road. Additional work includes reconstruction of the exit ramp from northbound I-65 to U.S. 31.
The project aims to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce crashes. RCIs are alternatives to traditional intersections on high-speed, four-lane divided highways. More information can be found here.
Doors for the event open at 4:30 p.m. and the presentation is at 5:30 p.m. Questions and comments may be submitted in person or in advance via email to Adam Burns (aburns@cmtengr.com).
