INDIANAPOLIS -The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis is alerting residents in central and southern Indiana that today’s forecast is for a chance of strong thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening.
Although there is a Wind Advisory in effect until Thursday at 2 a.m., no Thunderstorm Watches or Warnings have been issued. Meteorologists are suggesting that Hoosiers prepare for the possibility of damaging winds on Wednesday evening as thunderstorms move into the area.
Rain and thunderstorms are predicted to start Wednesday morning, with a slight chance of more severe weather from 5 p.m. to midnight. NWS is asking south-central Indiana residents to be aware of the weather situation and continue to check throughout the day for possible watches or warnings.
