COLUMBUS, Ind. – Over 100 Bartholomew County High School students will participate in a full day of engaging activities at the 2022 Youth Empowerment Summit at the Columbus Learning Center on Friday, April 29. The event is designed to build leadership skills, inspire personal action, and expand the vision of a welcoming, safe, and supportive community for all.
This free summit is being hosted by the Council for Youth Development (CYD), The African American Fund of Bartholomew County, Columbus Human Rights Commission, Tu Futuro, and BCSC.
The program includes a welcome by Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop. Students have the opportunity to rotate through three sessions facilitated by local experts.
