COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ignite is returning to Columbus this Wednesday, April 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Helen Haddad Hall, 315 Franklin St, in Columbus. The fast-paced idea pitch competition originated in 2006 and has since become an international phenomenon. It is free and open to the public. Appetizers and a cash bar will be provided.
Speakers have built their presentations with 20 slides, each of which is shown for 15 seconds, giving each speaker five minutes of fame.
Organizers will award cash prizes. Presenters will be competing in two judged categories, “Most Enlightening” and “Most Innovative.” One presenter will receive the People’s Choice Award, which is given to the audience’s favorite. Register online at www.columbusareachamber.com.
Because of the pandemic, Ignite was last held in 2019. In previous years, Ignite Columbus promoted early concepts for Exhibit Columbus, Columbus Craft Beer Fest, the public library’s digital services, and ColumBike.
