SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Police Department (SPD) received a call on Tuesday, at around 8:20 p.m., about a possible stabbing in the 200 block of East 11th St. in Seymour. When officers arrived, they observed blood in the street which led to a residence in the area. A male had received at least one cut to his upper body.
The victim, in stable condition, was transported by Jackson County EMS and the Seymour Fire Department to the helipad at Schneck Medical Center and then flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis by St. Vincent Stat Flight.
Investigators with SPD conducted several interviews and obtained a Jackson Circuit Court search warrant to process the crime scene and collect evidence.
Jacob Evan Easley, 26, of Crothersville, was arrested on one count of battery with a deadly weapon. The suspect was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
