GREENWOOD, Ind. – Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) has awarded Rachel Cline from Walnut Grove Elementary as the 2021-22 Teacher of Year. She is a second-grade teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary School and has been teaching for 11 years, six of which have been at Center Grove.
“I am currently teaching just a few miles away from the school that I went to and it has truly been a dream come true to get to make a difference in the community that means so much to me,” said Cline. “It is an honor to be chosen as our district’s Teacher of the Year and I am thankful every day that I get to work with students, staff, and families in the Center Grove School Corporation.”
Cline receives $1,000 from Wallman Financial to spend in her classroom. She will represent Center Grove in the Indiana Teacher of the Year competition.
CGCSC also honored 77 current, former, and retired teachers with Legacy Awards. More information about the award winners and photo galleries are available at centergrove.k12.in.us/teacherawards.
