COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus has announced that some departments will be partaking in summer hours beginning Monday, May 23, and extending through Friday, August, 5. Normal staffing hours will resume Monday, August 8. Summer hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
While various offices are switching to summer hours, others will maintain their regular 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours.

- Mayor, Community Development, Clerk Treasurer, Redevelopment, Human Resources, Human Rights, and Planning – Normal hours
- City Engineering – Summer hours
- Columbus Police Department Administration – Normal hours
- Columbus Fire Department Administration – Normal hours
- Columbus Municipal Airport – Normal hours
- Animal Care Services – Normal hours
- Parks and Recreation – Normal hours
- Housing Authority -Normal hours by appointment only
- Columbus City Utilities – Summer hours
- City Transit retains its hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Columbus City Garage retains its office hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
