COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) officials plan to close a section of Hawcreek Boulevard overnight Thursday, May 19, in Columbus.
The road will close at approximately 6 p.m., between 25th Street and U.S. 31, to perform approach repairs. Hawcreek Boulevard is expected to reopen by 8 a.m. on Friday morning, May 20. Drivers may notice delays to the traffic signal at the intersection during this time.
The repairs are part of a $5.7 million asphalt resurfacing project on U.S. 31 between Washington Street and Base Road. Motorists should expect lane closures along this section of U.S. 31 as crews remove and replace curb ramps, in addition to patching, milling, and paving.
The INDOT contract was awarded to Milestone in March and has a completion date of October 30.
