COLUMBUS, Ind. – At least four emergency agencies assisted in a water rescue response in Clifty Creek just after 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon.
Responders were dispatched to U.S. 31 near 10th Street after a report of an injured adult male in the water. The man was removed from the river and assessed by Columbus Regional Heath EMS before being flown to an Indianapolis trauma center.
Agencies responding included Columbus Township Fire/Rescue, Columbus Police Department, Columbus Fire Department, and Batholomew County Sheriff’s Office.
