COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Utilities (CCU) will be using savings totaling $2 million to finance the Southeast Sewer Improvement Project, a high-priority project for the utility. The Indiana Finance Authority and State Revolving Loan Program (SRF) have provided the savings.
“Many thanks to the Indiana Finance Authority for providing this generous grant and financing for this project,” said Roger Kelso, Columbus City Utilities Director. “By combining the grant with the 0% loan, we can maximize our funding for all sewer improvements needed in our area and better serve our customers.”
The $2 million in savings will come from a $470,000 State Water Infrastructure Fund grant and a 0% $4.33 million SRF loan, allowing CCU to further extend funding for all of its infrastructure projects.
