SEYMOUR, Ind – Registration for the Jackson County United Way’s (JCUW) Rock’n Ready free school supply program is still going through Friday, July 1st. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in K-12 this fall at a Jackson County school or be homeschooled. Those who do not register will not be guaranteed supplies.
Last year, the Rock’n Ready program served over 1,200 students across the county. Every student receives a backpack plus supplies which include pencils, notebooks, crayons, colored pencils, dry erase markers, and more.
“This program is as vital as it’s ever been,” said JCUW Engagement Director Emily Engelking. “Having the ability to help families save on supplies for school is important.”
Currently, the program has over 230 families who have signed up. The earlier families register, the easier it is to plan for the program.
Register online at www.jacsy.org/schoolsupplies (English) or www.jacsy.org/espschoolsupplies (Spanish). To register by phone or to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, call Emily Engelking at 812-522-5450, ext. 4. To view the wish list visit www.jacsy.org/rocknready.
