GREENWOOD, Ind – The City of Greenwood celebrated opening week for the Freedom Springs Aquatic Center, which commenced on May 28.
“It’s not summertime in Greenwood without Freedom Springs,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. “Last year we welcomed more than 115,000 people to Freedom Springs and I hope this year we top that mark.”
The facility totaled approximately 11,000 guests from May 28 through June 5 and sold over 2000 season passes to residents and non-residents. Season passes are currently being sold at the Greenwood Community Center, Greenwood Fieldhouse, and Freedom Springs. The 2022 season runs through Labor Day.
Since 2018, Freedom Springs has generated upwards of $1 million per season. Since May 28, the facility has already generated nearly $400,000 in revenue.
