COLUMBUS, Ind. The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) has released its incident report for May, showing CFD had its busiest month of the year thus far.
There were 956 unit dispatches and 626 total incidents. January had the second most total incidents this year with 604. The department received 393 EMS calls, which was responsible for over 60% of the tally for the month. There were also 22 fire incidents, 11 severe weather calls, and seven rescues.
The Fire Prevention Bureau conducted investigations for two structure fires and one vehicle fire.
