SEYMOUR, Ind. – Jackson County Public Library (JCPL) has bolstered library security and added new furniture for its branches in Seymour, Crothersville, and Medora.
The library was able to purchase nine new lounge chairs for the Seymour Library and more security cameras for the Crothersville and Medora libraries using a $26,049.09 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant.
The library used regular operating funds at the end of 2021 to purchase more furniture that was quoted for the original $100,000 grant application.
The easily-cleaned furniture has been assembled and is in use at all locations. Most furniture includes charging outlets for phones, laptops, or other electronic devices or is located near a power hub.
