NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) began a drug investigation on Monday afternoon that eventually led to the arrest of two North Vernon people on various drug-related charges.
Detectives applied for and were granted a Jennings County Circuit Court search warrant for a residence in Country Squire Lakes. During the execution of the warrant, JCSO deputies allegedly located over 12 grams of methamphetamine, firearms, drug-related items, syringes, and several other controlled substances.
Jason Bensheimer, 40, of North Vernon was booked for dealing meth 10 or more grams, possession of meth 10 or more grams, possession of a syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Natasha Brewer, 38, North Vernon, was arrested for possession of meth, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
