COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested a Jennings County man on multiple felony warrants after a short scuffle on Monday night. Officers observed a vehicle that was falsely registered in the area of McKinnley Avenue and Ross Street, at about 11:50 p.m.
The driver, who was later identified as Ronald L. Miller, 50, of North Vernon, pulled into a nearby alley. The man supposedly ignored CPD commands after being told that he was being detained. A tussle ensued with the suspect after the officers attempted to restrain him. He was taken into custody a short time later.
Miller was transported to Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on the preliminary charges of the three outstanding Bartholomew County warrants and resisting law enforcement.
