COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Weather Service says Bartholomew County is under a slight risk for severe weather on Friday.
The window for severe weather is from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the best chances during the late afternoon. The main threats are damaging straight-line winds, hail, heavy rain (resulting in localized flooding), and isolated tornadoes.
Wind gusts could be as high as 40 to 50 mph and some areas of the county could see up to 1 to 3 inches of rainfall per hour with the storms moving into the state.
