SEYMOUR, Ind. – A traffic stop by the Indiana State Police (ISP) on Monday led to the discovery of suspected cocaine which resulted in the driver of the vehicle being arrested on multiple drug-related charges.
A trooper pulled over a car for multiple traffic infractions on southbound I-65, near the 51-mile marker in Jackson County, just before 1 p.m. During questioning of the driver, Rasheed E. Musheer, 27, of Indianapolis, the officer supposedly observed numerous indicators of criminal activity along with the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.
During a search, the trooper allegedly located a vacuum-sealed bag with a half-kilogram of suspected cocaine, marijuana, pills, and over $600 in cash. The estimated street value of the cocaine was $15,000.
Musheer was charged with dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana.
