COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS) announced Thursday that it is canceling the planned Moonlight Loop Ride scheduled for July 30. Over the past seven years, it has raised over $81,000 for CACS.
Nicohl Birdwell-Goodin, Director of CACS said, “This event is always a lot of fun and it allows us to raise much-needed funds for the care of homeless animals in our community. However, due to staffing shortages and low registration numbers, it was not feasible to host the event this year, as we would not be able to deliver the quality event that our past participants have enjoyed.”
Those who have pre-registered for this year’s event may contact Columbus Animal Care Services at 812-376-2505 or moonlightloop@columbus.in.gov to request a refund. All registration fees not refunded will be considered a donation to CACS and will be used to care for animals in the community.
