COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County is under a slight risk of severe weather today, per Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM). Forecasts from the National Weather Service (NWS) currently predict the potential for strong wind gusts, lightning and heavy rain between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., with the best chances during the late afternoon.
Isolated areas of flooding are possible late this afternoon into the evening, especially across southern portions of central Indiana. There will be hotter weather tomorrow through mid-week, with peak heat indices at approximately 100 degrees.
