SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Police Department (SPD) received information on Thursday about a possible stolen trailer in the area. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of E. Tipton Street.
Law enforcement determined that the trailer, along with a skid steer loader it was hauling, had been stolen from Kokomo. SPD learned that there were also several tools stolen. During an inventory of the pickup truck that was pulling the stolen trailer, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, drug-related items, power tools, and rental paperwork saying that that truck should have been returned to a rental company several days earlier.
Police arrested Jacob Harstch, 22, of Kokomo, for theft, possession of meth, driving while suspended, and possession of paraphernalia. Joshua Suiter, 35, of Kokomo, was also taken into custody for theft, possession of meth, and possession of paraphernalia.
Investigators with the Seymour Police Department are working with the Howard County Sheriff in Kokomo to return the stolen items to the rightful owner, according to SPD Lt. C.J. Foster.
