COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is investigating three separate reports of shots fired in the last week, one of which left a person injured. Law enforcement is seeking information from the public that could help with their investigation.
The first incident occurred on October 12 at 5 p.m. in the 900 block of 11th Street. There were no injuries.
The second report was on October 15 at approximately 3:30 a.m., after a man told police that an unknown person approached him after an argument in the 1100 block of California Street and discharged a firearm into the ground near him.
The third incident under investigation involves a woman who suffered a gunshot wound in the 900 block of California Street, at around 12:40 a.m., on October 16. She was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
