INDIANAPOLIS — Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch threw her hat into the ring to become governor on Monday, joining a list of GOP hopefuls to replace Gov. Eric Holcomb, who is not eligible to serve more than eight years in any twelve-year period. U.S. Sen. Mike Braun and Fort Wayne businessman Eric Doden are also vying for the Republican nomination.
“I have a clear vision for Indiana’s future – lower taxes, keep our citizens safe, protect the sanctity of life, and defend Hoosier values,” Crouch’s campaign website reads.
She has served as lieutenant governor since 2019 when she filled the vacancy left after Gov. Holcomb withdrew from the lieutenant governor’s race to join the competition to become governor.
The election for governor is on November 5, 2024.
