COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a Columbus man Tuesday on numerous charges related to the possession of child pornography/child exploitation after serving a search warrant at his rural Bartholomew County home.
The investigation began in September 2022 when a cyber tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives alleged that images depicting child pornography were possessed by Kevin Ray Batman, 61. A search warrant for his residence was served Tuesday, and more evidence was supposedly located.
Batman was arrested, taken to Bartholomew County Jail, and initially charged with possession of child pornography (Level 5 Felony-seven counts), and possession of child pornography (Level 4 Felony-one count). The suspect awaits his initial appearance in Bartholomew County Circuit Court.
