SEYMOUR, Ind. – A Jackson County man was charged with child solicitation on Thursday, stemming from an incident last month where he allegedly asked a juvenile for sex.
The Seymour Police Department received information on February 24 that two underaged girls were getting into a vehicle with an older man, per Lt. C.J. Foster. Investigators learned through interviews that the man had supposedly asked one of the teens if she wanted to have sex with him.
Officers conducted a traffic stop Thursday on a car driven by Ismael Diego-Nicolas, 29, of Seymour, and placed him under arrest for operating a vehicle without a license. Police knew that investigators wanted to speak with Diego-Nicolas about an active investigation.
During an interview, Diego-Nicolas allegedly admitted to detectives that he propositioned one of the girls for sex. He was then booked for child solicitation and taken to Jackson County Jail.
