INDIANAPOLIS –UPDATE: The Flood Warning has been extended and will now last from late tonight thru Tuesday evening in Bartholomew County, per NWS. Heavy rain has already begun to close some roads in Columbus. The county will also be under Wind Advisory starting Saturday from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Area rivers are expected to experience minor to moderate flooding levels:
- Minor Flooding of East Fork White River from Saturday night until Monday morning
- Moderate Flooding of Driftwood River near Edinburgh from late tonight until Tuesday morning
- Minor Flooding of Flatrock River near Columbus from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning
ORIGINAL: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Warning for Bartholomew County, which will be in effect from Saturday afternoon thru Tuesday morning. The county is currently under a Flood Watch until Saturday morning.
Minor Flooding levels are expected for several area rivers:
- East Fork White River in Columbus from Saturday morning to Tuesday morning
- Driftwood River near Edinburgh from Saturday morning until further notice
- Flatrock River near Columbus from Saturday morning until Monday afternoon
