NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County High School (JCHS) Boys’ Basketball team had a fantastic season, making it all the way to the IHSAA Semi-State Semifinals before Brownsburg cut their victory streak short by defeating the Panthers, 51-47.
However, the powers that be certainly know that this loss does not reflect the amazing talent of the JCHS team. Teammates Keegan Manowitz, Carter Kent, and Owen Law have been named All-HHC with Justin Ramey being named All-HHC Honorable Mention. Their coach, Josh Land, was honored as HHC Coach of the Year.
Manowitz, Kent, and Law were also recognized in the annual Indiana Basketball Coaches Association All-State Awards. Manowitz was listed in the Senior All-State Large School Team, with Owen Law listed as Honorable Mention. Carter Kent was named to the Underclass Supreme 15, a title given to the best 15 underclassmen as voted on by Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Finally, Manowitz was also invited to the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Senior Top 60 Workout on March 26 at Marian University.
