COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) said late Tuesday night that all of its customers were being placed under a Boil Water Advisory.
There was a malfunction in a chlorine line at the main water plant, so as a precautionary measure, company officials issued an advisory for the whole system for a 48-hour period.
Residents who are customers of EWBC are reminded to bring their water to a rolling boil for two minutes before ingesting it because the water contains too much chlorine.
The Boil Water Advisory should expire by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
