COLUMBUS, Ind. – UPDATE: The gas leak is under control as of 11 a.m., according to the Columbus Fire Department (CFD).
Homes in the immediate area of the leak received gas monitoring and were found to be clear. Traffic is moving again. CFD officials ask that drivers be mindful of utility workers that are working in the area.

Traffic restrictions are in place and people are asked to avoid the area. One home has been evacuated as a precaution and there is no immediate threat to other homes in the area., according to CFD.
