
COLUMBUS, Ind. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on US-31 over the weekend. The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to the accident on North US 31, near its intersection with West County Road 800N, at around 9 p.m.
The crash resulted in injuries to three occupants, all of which needed medical attention. Two occupants were transported to Columbus Regional Health, while the third was flown by LineLine to an Indianapolis area hospital.
US 31 was shut down for approximately four hours while the Accident Reconstruction Team documented the collision scene. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, however this is an ongoing investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.
