JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Dave O’Mara Inc. will begin work on or after Monday, June 5, on a bridge deck overlay project on State Road 7 over Rock Creek in northern Jennings County. The bridge is about five miles south of U.S. 31 between Elizabethtown and Scipio.
During construction, the road will be reduced to one lane with temporary traffic signals. Work is expected to be complete by mid-July, weather permitting.
The contract was awarded to Dave O’Mara Inc. for $476,000 in January. The project includes an additional bridge deck overlay on U.S. 31 in Scott County. INDOT alerts motorists to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
