INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is recognizing National Fishing and Boating Week and in celebration, Indiana residents who fish on Saturday and Sunday on state waters do not need a fishing license or trout/salmon stamp.
All other rules such as seasons, bag, and size limits apply. Free Fishing Days are an excellent opportunity to learn how to fish, take your family fishing, or introduce a friend to fishing. To see what properties are hosting events, go to the DNR Calendar.
The Next Free Fishing Day is slated for September 23.
