FRANKLIN, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor MAC Construction will begin asphalt and concrete patching on I-65 in Johnson County on or after Monday, June 19. Various lane closures will be in place between State Road 252 (Exit 80) and Franklin (Exit 90) while work is in progress.
Asphalt patching takes place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday-Thursday, starting with the southbound lanes.
Concrete patching will be over a number of weekends starting in late June and wrapping up in early August. Motorists should expect around-the-clock lane closures during these times to allow patches to cure.
Southbound I-65 patching is planned as follows:
- 10 p.m. on Friday, June 23 to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 26
- 10 p.m. on Friday, July 7 to 6 a.m. on Monday, July 10
- 10 p.m. on Friday, July 28 to 6 a.m. on Monday, July 31
Northbound I-65 concrete patching is planned for:
- 11 p.m. on Friday, August 4 to 6 a.m. on Monday, August 7
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling through construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
