BUTLERVILLE, Ind – Jennings County 911 Dispatch Center received several calls Sunday regarding a personal injury accident in Campbell Township, east of North Vernon.
Jennings County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and found an unresponsive male who had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Immediate medical care was administered however the driver was pronounced deceased a short time later. The man was identified as Terry Trowbridge, 50, of Norman, Indiana.
Witnesses said Trowbridge was westbound on US 50 and tried to pass another car at a high rate of speed. He lost control and left the highway where his car rolled several times, ejecting him from the vehicle.
Trowbridge was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Preliminary investigation indicates that speed and aggressive driving are suspected to be factors in the accident.
