COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins Inc. was recently ranked 4th in Forbes’ 2023 America’s Best Employers for Women.
Rachel Bourne, Director of Talent Acquisition Diversity, Sourcing, and Technology at Cummins, was featured in a recent Forbes article where she shared her invaluable insights on the importance of hiring diverse talent.
The President and CEO at Cummins, Jennifer Rumsey, is female. Almost 50% of the vice presidents and officers at Cummins are women, and 25% of them are Black or Latina. These numbers far exceed national rates, in which females comprise 21% of C-suite executives, only 5% of whom are women of color, according to the latest Women in the Workplace report by McKinsey and LeanIn.Org. In the male-dominated industry of engineering, only 16% of engineers are female).
