COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (BCSWMD) has announced that starting Saturday, August 12, it will be asking Petersville Convenience Station (11110 25th St.) customers to sort their recyclables by type.
The change will reduce costs, as the staff will process the material and send off the recyclables to complete the recycling process, per a BCSWMD spokesman.
It is asked to follow the signage on the containers, sorting materials by type; paper, plastic bottles/jugs, glass, and metal. Cardboard will continue to be collected, and sorted as usual. Customers should make sure all items are clean, loose, dry, and separated.
Visit the BCSWMD website at www.bcswmd.com or call 812-376-2614 for more information about Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District programs and recycling locations.
