FRANKLIN, Ind. – Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) and the Johnson County Commissioners will break ground this Wednesday, October 11, on a new $11 million behavioral health annex to be located on the JMH campus in Franklin. The inpatient hospital will provide relief for the county’s growing mental health crisis.
The new facility, funded in part by federal ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) dollars, will begin construction this fall. Completion is expected in late 2024 or early 2025.
The groundbreaking ceremony gets underway at noon on Wednesday and will take place at Johnson Memorial Health, 1125 W. Jefferson St., in Franklin, on the west side of the campus, next to the 1159 building.
Several Johnson County dignitaries, including JMH President/CEO Dr. David Dunkle, will be speaking.
