SEYMOUR, Ind. – On September 27 of this year, detectives with the Seymour Police Department (SPD) began an investigation where an individual allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with two underage victims approximately 19 to 20 years ago while the parties resided in Jackson County.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, October 17, SPD arrested William J. Gasser, 62, of Scottsburg, He was charged with two counts of child molestation. Both are class A felonies.
The suspect was interviewed by detectives and supposedly admitted to the inappropriate sexual contact.
Gasser was taken to the Jackson County Jail and remanded into the custody of the jail division.
