COLUMBUS, Ind. – Thrive Alliance is presenting Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an educational series designed to provide you with the tools you need to take care of yourself. This program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources.
The course is designed for those who are long-distance caregivers, caregivers to individuals with disabilities, grandparents raising children, caregivers of older adults, and those living with dementia.
Classes consist of six sessions held once a week. Interactive lessons, discussions, and brainstorming will help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life. You will receive The Caregiver Helpbook developed specifically for the series.
The 90-minute classes will be held virtually via Zoom every Wednesday from February 21 through March 27, at 2 p.m.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is free but registration is required by February 14. To sign up, call Alison Simo, Wellness Education Coordinator at 812-418-6690 or email asimo@thrive-alliance.org.
