NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Chief Deputy Jeff Jones made his final 10-42 (cop talk for clocking out) last Friday after 26 years of service to Jennings County.
Sheriff Kenny Freeman said Jones is one of the most caring people you could ever meet.
“Jonesy,” as he is known to most, has served his fellow citizens most of his adult life, first in the Marines, and then as a deputy at JCSO.
Freeman added, “We will miss your jokes, your life lessons, and we will miss you being around pointing at us with a yardstick. You have left your mark on this office forever and you will not be forgotten. Congratulations on your retirement.”
