COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two people were arrested on multiple drug charges after the Columbus Police Department (CPD) pulled over a vehicle early Monday morning. Officers observed a car without a license plate traveling north on Central Avenue near 7th Street, at around 12;20 a.m.
During the traffic stop, police spoke with the driver, Devin C. Kinman, 33, of Columbus, and his passenger, Emma L. Sipes, 24, of Trafalgar. CPD determined that Kinman’s driver’s license was suspended and he had a local warrant for his arrest.
Kinman was taken into custody. When searching him, the officers allegedly found methamphetamine.
During a search of the vehicle, the officers also supposedly located ¾ pound of marijuana, along with meth and drug-related items in the floorboard on the passenger side of the vehicle where Sipes was seated. She was arrested as well.
Kinman was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (Prior Conviction), Possession of a Synthetic Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended (Prior Conviction), and a Bartholomew County Warrant.
Sipes was booked for Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
