MARKTHEIDENFELD, Germany – Cummins Inc. announced this week the inauguration of the eMobility production facility at its Marktheidenfeld plant. This event, held on February 28, represents a significant step forward in Cummins’ dedication to advancing eMobility solutions.
It will support the production of ELFA2 inverters and intermittent brake chopper resistors (iBCR), eMobility products from Acceler by Cummins. These components and related technology are crucial for electromobility and will further enhance Cummins Marktheidenfeld’s reputation as an employer of choice in the region.
“We are excited to inaugurate our production facility for eMobility components at the Marktheidenfeld plant,” said Robert Cochanski Rodriguez, Executive Managing Director of Cummins Emission Solutions EMEA. “We are proud to be part of the electromobility future.”
Cummins acquired the Marktheidenfeld site in 2012 and it has seen substantial growth. With over 350 employees, the plant has become a leading production site within Cummins Emissions Solutions in Europe, manufacturing key components for low-emission diesel engines.
The official opening of the eMobility production facility included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by German officials and Cummins employees and leadership.
