NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor, Inc. resumed work Wednesday on an intersection improvement project with added turn lanes along State Road 7 in Jennings County.
Crews plan to close County Road 275W between State Roads 7 and 3 to convert it into a cul-de-sac.
After the C.R. 275 cul-de-sac conversion is complete, crews can begin work to widen S.R. 7 before installing a left turn lane at the entrance of Country Squire Lakes.
Road widening, turn lane installation, and culvert replacement work will take place on S.R. 7 at a later time.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
