NASHVILLE, Ind. – Mother’s Cupboard Community Kitchen will have its annual Soup Bowl Benefit on April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., at The Seasons Lodge in Nashville.
Adult tickets are $30 and kids under 12 are $5. Get advance sale tickets at the Brown County IGA, the Brown County Visitor’s Center, and from Mother’s Cupboard board members. Tickets are available at the door.
At the benefit, adults will receive a unique bowl from Brown County potters and fill it with Brown County restaurant soups. Kid’s tickets do not include the bowl.
The Soup Bowl Benefit also features live music and many unique items in a silent auction.
Mother’s Cupboard provides free hot meals to anyone who asks for them. It also operates a food bank and distributes government commodities.
The kitchen is funded by donations from individuals and endowments administered by the Brown County Community Foundation and is located on Memorial Drive on the Brown County Fairgrounds off Old State Rd. 46, just east of Nashville.
Hot meals are served from 4-6 p.m. daily. Mother’s Cupboard distributed over 35,000 hot meals last year, no questions asked.
