COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Human Rights Commission invites the public to hear keynote speaker, Ms. Amy Nelson, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Commission’s Annual Dinner Meeting at The Commons, 300 Washington St., at 6:30 p.m.
Nelson is the executive director of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana (“FHCCI”). In this role, she spearheaded the agency’s establishment in 2011 and has directed the office to national prominence as one of the most effective fair housing agencies.
The mission of the FHCCI is to ensure equal housing opportunities by eliminating housing discrimination through advocacy, enforcement, education, and outreach.
The FHCCI currently serves 24 counties in central Indiana, including Bartholomew, which houses about 2.5 million Hoosiers.
Admission to the dinner is by advance ticket purchase and they can now be purchased for $30 per person at the Human Rights Commission office at Columbus City Hall or online, here.
