WHITELAND, Ind. – The Town of Whiteland is hosting a Comprehensive Plan Workshop on Tuesday, June 18, at the Nire Event Center, at 740 E. Main St., from 5:30- 7 p.m. Residents are invited to attend and learn about “Advance Whiteland,” the plan for the future of Whiteland.
Citizens are also reminded that the town has a survey that they can take to help guide the community as Whiteland updates its comprehensive plan. Officials ask residents to take a minute to give their input. You can access the survey link, here.
Whiteland’s Comprehensive Plan is a community-wide strategic effort among town leadership, municipal departments, non-profits, local businesses, emergency services, utilities, and the broader community to guide future growth and development. Changes in population, the local economy, and the preferences of Whiteland residents have opened the door to new opportunities and challenges. This plan will identify and suggest potential strategies to address these uncertainties.
The plan will cover land use, utilities, transportation, economic development, government capacity, and other topics vital for sustainable growth throughout the community.
