SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Police Department responded to Home Products located at 855 N. Chestnut St., on October 4, about the theft of a large amount of copper wire, rolls of copper, and battery-powered tools. The value of the copper and battery-powered tools was estimated at over $9,000. Evidence was collected at the scene and leads were followed.
Last Friday, October 11, investigators arrested Colin B. Erwin, 28, of Seymour, for burglary (level 5 felony) and two counts of theft (level 6 felony).
On Monday, October 14, detectives also took Michale C. Miller, 45, of Seymour, into custody for burglary (level 5 felony) and theft (level 6 felony).
Both suspects were incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.
Investigators allegedly recovered some of the stolen property during the ongoing investigation.
