NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The Jennings County Community Foundation (JCCF) recently announced the finalists for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for 2025.
A selected recipient receives full tuition, required fees, and book stipend for four years to attend any public or private, Indiana four-year college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
JCCF says there are several other benefits of the Lilly Endowment scholarship.
The list of JCCF finalists for the Jennings County area are:
- Claire Hack – The daughter of Tony and Audra Hack is a member of the basketball and softball teams, the National Honor Society, the Student-Athlete Leadership Team, and Panther Student Leaders. Claire has not decided on a college yet but plans to study genetics.
- Lauren Hauersperger – The daughter of Loren and Elizabeth Hauersperger is a member of the varsity volleyball team and the National Honor Society at JCHS. Lauren plans to attend an undergraduate college, major in Biology/Health Sciences, and pursue a pediatrics career.
- Brock Maschino – The son of Andrew and Courtney Maschino has participated in cross country and track for four years. Brock is involved in the Jennings County FFA and is a 10-year 4-H member. He plans to attend Purdue University and study animal science.
- Chrisanna Coleman – The daughter of Adam and Sarah Coleman is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, Panther Student Leaders, Vice-President of the Senior Class, Student Advisory Board/VP for Indiana Best Buddies and is a North Vernon Main Street Ambassador. Chrisanna aspires to a Psychology Degree and a Child Life Specialist career.
- Hannah Webster – The daughter of James and Susie Webster is an active member of her school as Class President, Best Buddies Chapter President, German Club President, A Touch of Class Dance Captain, the National Honors Society, and the swim team. Hannah plans to attend Ball State University, majoring in Entertainment and Sports Communications.
- Maddix Elston – The son of Beau and Laramie Elston is an active officer for his school’s key club and participates in track and field. Maddix plans to major in nursing next year as he enters college but has not decided on which college he will attend.
- Derek Ross – The son of Angel Haysler and Timothy Ross is active in track, the National Honor Society, and Key Club. Derek will attend Purdue University and study mechanical engineering.
- Ava Ebbing – The daughter of Jamie and Jessica Ebbing played volleyball at JCHS and is a member of the National Honor Society. Ava will attend IU Columbus and major in Biology. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she plans to get her physician assistant license.
