FRANKLIN, Ind. – Johnson County’s newly formed housing coalition, JoCoHoCo, invites landlords and property managers to share their experiences in managing rental properties at three “listening sessions” this month. The meetings are set for February 19, 25, and 27, in three locations.
JoCoHoCo Board President Amanda Ott says “We know there is a housing shortage in Johnson County and especially a shortage of rental properties for families. We want to learn what challenges property managers and landlords face and how the housing coalition might help.”
The first drop-in meeting is Wednesday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Edinburgh Public Library. Session #2 is at the Greenwood Public Library on February 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the final meeting is in Whiteland at the Clark Pleasant Library Branch on February 27, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Ott added, “Building relationships with different parts of our housing community, like landlords and property managers, makes for better solutions for all. Hearing different perspectives on community problems matters.”
The United Way of Johnson County is providing snacks for all three events.
Although registration is not required to attend, landlords are asked to RSVP at bit.ly/LandlordMeeting.
